A Deadly American Marriage” explores the 2015 death of Jason Corbett in North Carolina — a violent altercation involving his wife, Molly Martens, and her father, Thomas Martens. Through interviews with those closest to the case, the film examines the complex dynamics of the relationship and the subsequent legal proceedings, which questioned whether the killing was murder or self-defense.

 

The documentary went straight to #1 on Netflix in Ireland and spent weeks in the UK Top 10,
