About Jenny Whyte
Jenny Whyte is a set and costume designer working across Dublin, Cork, and Wicklow. She is also a visual artist and a part-time Theatre Design lecturer at MTU Cork School of Music.
Her practice is rooted in collaboration and driven by the impact of visual storytelling to shape an audience’s emotional and sensory experience. Jenny creates inclusive, richly textured worlds for performance, often foregrounding social themes and sparking conversation through her scenography choices.
Jenny has worked with a wide range of companies, including Netflix, Once Off Productions, Cork Opera House, ANU, the Everyman Theatre, ALSA Productions, and Opera Collective Ireland, bringing her design expertise to both intimate projects and large-scale productions.

In 2024, Jenny was selected by the Irish Society of Performance Designers (ISPD) for their Arts Council–funded mentorship programme, working as Assistant Costume Designer to Catherine Fay on GATMAN! (Everyman Theatre). She later re-joined Fay for MAKING HISTORY (Everyman Theatre, 2025) as Costume Supervisor and Textile/Costume Breakdown Artist.
In 2021, she was Design Assistant on HEART OF A DOG (Everyman Theatre), which was nominated for an Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Costume Design in 2022.
