Press Quotes
“Jenny Whyte's insanely detailed set and props.... tipping spectacle into the realms of fantasy. So brilliantly executed you might think you're on the set of a horror movie.”
— The Arts Review ★★★★☆, Chris O'Rourke

“The play makes good use of its site-specific location — a former shop on Shandon Street, here
brilliantly transformed by set designer Jenny Whyte into ‘Pins and Needles’, a dilapidated
seamstress’s premises in a small Irish town.”

— Irish Examiner ★★★★☆, Marjorie Brennan

Show Synopsis
In the dim light of ‘Pins and Needles’, something dark is stirring…

From the basement, Alice stitches, mends, and waits. Seven months of cutting, ripping, and sewing herself back together. But on this night of Samhain the spirits are watching. The forgotten girl with the face all torn will rise.

Set in garment alteration shop in 1989, which is about to close and be taken over by Xtra-vision; audiences are dragged deep into a world where the past lingers and the walls whisper.
Sinister, unsettling, and unrelentingly atmospheric - this haunting site-specific play is not for the faint of heart. For those who dare, Stitch promises an unforgettable theatrical experience.
